Either/Or was a concert held in Elder Hall on 9th August, 2017, featuring several premieres of new works, including
Cat Hope’s Stella Degradation * (for viola and cello) – South Australian premiere
Leah Blankendaal’s we were met by ordinary devotion ** (for clarinet and electronics) – Australian premiere
Erkki Veltheim’s The Continuity Hypothesis*** (flute, bass clarinet, keyboard sampler, violoncello, live electronics) – World premiere
Erkki Veltheim’s Turing Test for improviser and electronics (2014)
Elena Kats Chernin’s Piano Memories, 1st movement (Silent Piano)
Alvin Curran’s for Cornelius
Performers included Melanie Walters (flute), Mitchell Berick (clarinet), Ewen Bramble (cello), Gabriella Smart (piano/keyboard) and Erkki Veltheim (viola/electronics).
The concert was presented in partnership with Chamber Music Adelaide, State Theatre SA, JM Coetzee Centre for Creative Practice, the Accompanists' Guild SA and the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra.
