L’ElectricCrystal (EC) les relie, instrument fragile composé de tiges de verre enchâssées dans l'aluminium. Inventé par Dylan Crismani (AUS) en 2019, cet instrument microtonal construit des paysages sonores vastes et uniques. L'EC sera présenté en première Française à Valenciennes ce 29 mars au Phénix ! Un voyage cosmique quelque part dans le ciel Australien !

Parasymbiosis présente des sons du désert australien, à travers la synthèse audio d’un modèle 3D d’une roche ondulatoire vieille de 350 millions d’années, datant de l’époque où l’Australie centrale était recouverte par un océan intérieur.
Parasymbiosis imagines sounds of the sky and earth; contrasting elements that are inherently connected. Binding them is the Electric Crystal (EC), a volatile instrument of glass rods encased in aluminium. Invented by Dylan Crismani (AUS) in 2019, this microtonal instrument builds vast and unique soundscapes. The EC will receive its French premier in Valenciennes at Le Phenix on March 29 !
Aboriginal astronomical traditions believe that what we see in the sky is also reflected on earth. Parasymbiosis features sounds of the Australian desert, through the audio synthesis of a 3D model of a 350 million year old wave rock, dating back to the time when Central Australia was covered by an inland ocean.
A feedback loop is created on the EC, to exploit the volatile vibrations and random frequencies that the instrument generates. With percussionist Didier Casamitjana and Kasper Toeplitz on electric bass, these sounds are intensified to create a sound scape of vast and pulsing dimensions.
