Blue Touch was a concert series presented by Soundstream that focussed on improvisation and environmental music practice in Australia. Events included:

Blue Touch: Tone List – New Vulnerabilities

Sunday March 19 at The Studio

Tone List Collective is Jameson Feakes (electric guitar), Sage Pbbbt (voice), Dan O’Connor (trumpet), Shoshana Rosenberg (bass clarinet) and Josten Myburgh (electronics).

The featured program included performances of Simon Charles’ Murrindindi (2016), Shoshana Rosenberg’s A Gold Ring in a Pig’s Snout (2016), pieces from Michael Pisaro’s Harmony series no. 11 (2005), an untitled solo trumpet work by Dan O’Connor (2017)m and two new works by Shoshana Rosenberg and Olivia Davies.

German performance artist Johannes S. Sistermanns, saxophonist Derek Pascoe, and pianist Gabriella Smart presented a concert that embraced acoustic instruments, improvisation, and transducers.








Blue Touch: American Ascent

Composer and sound artist Jesse Budel shared his insights from 2017 travels to the US and Canada, responding to diverse places including old growth forests, tundra, glaciers, and deserts.  The tour, American Ascent, was supported by a Helpmann Academy Grant and  the SA Government through a Carclew Fellowship.
